The Delmarva Discovery Museum is a hands-on, interactive learning center for guests of all ages. Universally accessible exhibits feature the natural and cultural histories of Delmarva.
One of the most popular exhibits is the Wally Gordon River Otter habitat where two river otters, Mac & Tuck, play in their 6,000 gallon aquarium and extensive land area. Another is the Hazel Saltwater Touch Pool where visitors can have a hands on, up-close encounter with horseshoe crabs, starfish, eels and other marine creatures of Delmarva.
Other attractions include a walk through replica steamboat, Native American exhibit, life-sized beaver lodge, decoy &, boat building displays and a variety of other live animals.
The Museum gift shop features local authors and artisans as well as children’s books and toys.
The Discovery Museum offers engaging and educational programs and host a variety of special events throughout the year.
