Located at the intersection of Routes 13 and 113, Pocomoke City is a business hub serving a wide radius of the surrounding area. The town offers a wide variety of stores, restaurants, services and overnight accommodations, and has a beautiful downtown shopping district near the river.

Both tourists and area residents alike enjoy multiple parks, boat docks, a cypress nature trail, retail establishments, restaurants, attractions and more. The historic, downtown area boasts several wonderful museums including:

Downtown Pocomoke Association

Pocomoke City’s downtown business district includes the boundaries between Market Street from the Pocomoke River to Third Street; Vine Street and Willow Street from Front Street to Second Street; and Front Street, Clarke Avenue and Second Street from Willow Street to Vine Street.

All businesses within this district make up the membership of the Downtown Pocomoke Association (DPA). DPA members believe that improvements that benefit any business within the Pocomoke area will have a direct impact on the success of all. DPA member dues are used for the promotion and marketing of the downtown business district. Active DPA members collaborate to achieve the following:

  • Increase community interest and involvement with downtown Pocomoke
  • Increase tourism in downtown Pocomoke
  • Restore, revitalize and beautify downtown Pocomoke
  • Enhance opportunities for all downtown businesses
  • Create and leverage partnerships to support the above
